We have enabled a new feature for DTC users in Louisiana which allows you to facilitate the transfer of a student from another district into your own district.
You can go to Settings > Students and then click the Claim Student tab. You will enter the student's State Student Identifier and the student's Date of Birth and click "search." It will produce a row with the student. Click on the student and claim. You will then fill in your district as the Attendance District. Fill in the Exist Reason. Select the school that the student will be part of and then save. You'll be asked to confirm the selection and they will transfer over.
Note: You will then need to roster students as before.
